a Monero node using Ubuntu CLI, and it is synced, the daemon functions, and it is using 18.3.3 the latest version. I am trying to get remote access to the node through Cake wallet (or otherwise) and nothing seems to work. I have set up my router to forward to the 18081 port, configured my firewall to allow inbound on 18081, set up a .conf file with suggested binding IPs and RPC login/user...
I have been trying to troubleshoot using a few AIs that have given some insights, but ultimately I can't get access to my node remotely, anyone have any advice? Any known issues? I'm a newbie to CLI and Ubuntu/nodes and don't know any programming languages, just trying to learn.
do AP isolation enabled in your router?, try accessing ur node via ur browser "curl http://urnode:port/get_info" or something if you can see something shows up then it might be just a slow connection issue, if something not show up then something wrong in ur network device/etc
