It'S unfortunate that the "Then why are you here" or

"lol you must've bought high" mantras always come up. I already tried bringing up this subject in the price channel but since there are only about a couple handfuls of people active there nowadays. I've been here for quite some time but never before has the community felt so passive and quiet. So many (influential) people have left by now, 3 of the 5 mining algorithms are a disaster because miners are apparently also bouncing. Things just aren't looking good. Don't even get me started on 8.22. Been playing with node software of a couple of other Bitcoin forks such as Monero's and it's much, much better maintained, has a big developer pool and the software is more stable. DigiByte Core (or digibyted/CLI, doesn't really make a difference) randomly crash which makes it a big liability for a platform such as mine.

DGB Commerce was kind of my last ditch effort to bring some utility to the table because I still do think DigiByte is an excellent means of (peer to peer) payment because of the low fees and speed. But it comes at a price. Running a node is costly and not sustainable at the moment. I always intended to implement more cryptocurrencies along the way but it seems like I'm going to have to make a switch rather than an addition sooner than I anticipated. I have reserves but I'm not looking to lose money.

I've just been on holiday for a week and got some time to think. Hence why it's interesting to bring up: what DOES DigiByte really bring to the table that other projects don't?

Am I wrong on my previous comment? We had a conversation once about and I think it had to do with mining and maintaining nodes and I think you said that people aren’t in it for altruistic reasons but to make money. I think different community members contribute for different reasons.

U literally asking a question to the guy who asked the question , I discovered this last bullrun everyone was talking about how great Digibyte is & its a Dino coin etc but I dont kno all the fundamentals, I just kno it has a great community, it’s opened source & made to be better then bitcoin in everyway, ask the bitcoiners what utility bitcoin has
