can share . Like you need report from each iExec dev what he did today and will do tomorrow?
i am not being sarcastic here, i have never indicated that the goal is to micromanage the activity level of the core team. It seems pretty clear to me that what i asked for is aggregate statistics of the iexec platform, not the dev team.. What in all i have said here would give such an idea ? I do not understand such a defensive reaction to my ask. If a team builds a centralized or decentralized exchange, i have never heard that someone would be defensive when asked to publish volume metrics...
Not defensive at all , i was just figuring out what exactly you were asking . May i ask you to give example of any other project providing such statistics?
No, you strawmanned their good point by implying they wanted a day-to-day list of what work was done from devs. Stop arguing in bad faith here. We see through it and that’s probably why there’s no new interest in TG for over a year.
Thats not true at all . I wanted to be sure what he was asking for. Hey man please be a bit more respectful
check defillama for defi stats
Yes i know Defilama
Want to discuss this on dm and exchange some ideas ?
sure but i feel that an open conversation could be interesting too
Of course . What kind of categories do you envision to include in this statistics ?
like i was saying above, you want to provide various 1) aggregate statistics 2) of base metrics metrics can be : i) number of jobs (like num trades): no unit ii) money spent on those jobs (volume): unit is $ or RLC iii) computational difficulty of said jobs (akin to gas spent in ethereum context say) unit is tbd aggregates could be : average or sum and the window can be last 1h,24h,1w,1y etc those are global metrics for the platform. then you could offer a ranking of dapps based on those metrics and let the user select one dapp and offer the same metrics just for that dapp separately: you could also offer a report on the number of dapps, most recent ones, most active addresses, etc it should be a dynamic effort, there is no single answer as to what constitute an optimal dashboard but ultimately something that people find useful and can be iterated quickly based on user feedback. just like defillama, l2beats or whatever good blockchain explorer
Happy to see solution to a problem you think its important to solve . I will save and forward this proposal to the core team
This is a very good idea, however, I'm not even sure on the number of users of the platform. Aside from what I'm going to call "sponsored" startups, are there any real users of the platform?
well this will be a good way to offer transparency!!
