computing since 2018. Based on render web site the core team is less than 10 people but its markecap is almost 20 times bigger than IExec. The question is what was going on with IExec during previous years ?Why those all partnerships , events , hackathon ,... hast not translated to price grow?
I think a lot of the reason rndr is higher is because of better branding, messaging, and marketing. They clearly did something right
I guess the question that I gathered from that was, why have none of the big name collaborations/ partnerships ever turned into anything for iExec. There must be a genuine reason for this, or they have turned into something that has been revealed directly yet?
I took a look at Render. Although I’m not familiar with their route to their market cap, I’m going to guess it has something to do with: - their advisors (Ari Emanuel, JJ Abrams) - the fact they’re connected with artists - there’s an implication RNDR is associated with the “metaverse” So even tho it’s a similar story (decentralized GPU computing), it’s told differently enough to attract a higher market cap.
Many projects had crypto famous advisors but failed .so those canot be the reasons of Render success. He is an answer from discord : short answer: render has a better ceo. long answer: iexec went all in confidential computing and ditched gpu worker pools after their 2020 update. https://medium.com/iex-ec/iexec-joins-nvidia-inception-program-b8b4b1abbc94 "The project recently released ‘iExec V5’, with GPU integration in their marketplace. On-demand access to GPU computing power allows users to accelerate workloads and enable new business applications. This is specifically required in fields such as AI or deep learning, that have extremely heavy computing requirements." Question: Why GPU WP removed from roadmap ? is it because team belives that distributed AI can be only achived with TEE based GPUs? If yes , why we canot have simply a non-TEE WP like what Render , Akash offer while working on TEE based GPUs( I prefer an answer from technical team)
