i feel that you guys don't push the AI, LLM narratives enough. why? you need to step up your AI game, especially now, before it's too late. Study the transition of Akash network for reference! I think what is needed is to build clusters of free usable code for developers to launch AI projects on SKALE easily. If I was part of your marketing, I'd laso be looking not only into riding the AI wave but also trying to establish relationships with biggest tech companies, like Tesla, Nvidia, Meta, Alibaba, etc... Find a hook, a common ground, smth beneficial for both parties, but especially the latter, and work on making it happen. You are doing great so far, don't get me wrong, but in the crypto game, tech and data is not enough. It's the narrative that has the biggest pull factor. Sad in a way, but it doesn't have to be if done right and is true. Peace my SKALE brothers and sisters :)
I agree with you somewhat about the importance of narrative to capture the "now" money but I disagree with that approach for the long term success of the project. Take the internet as an example, many narratives came about in the early stages. Let's choose email as an example, look at how many email service providers were launching projects because of the new "narrative", the public was interested somewhat but companies like MSN, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and several other smaller startups. Google came to be the standard by having better technology and UI/UX, so it took over market capitalization. After the narrative died down and people saw the real need of the service, the started to choose the better quality service rather than what was popular prior. But...google did have a great approach to market which created their own narrative
i agree with your comment but AI narrative is not going to dissappear so quickly. As with email the biggest players who committed the right respurces actually came put on top. All these companies now hold the large market share. Other email providers, though might be better, are left behind. The important thing to remember is that it's hard to innovate and stay competitive without capital. The adventage for first movers is the capital injection. If the tech is there to support AI and LLM, why not focus on it and advertise it more to join the AI boom more dynamically. I feel a little like SKALE is sleeping through it a bit.
I think before even considering any other narratives, ensure the basics are in place. For example, be formalky integrated with Sub-Graph! We have a SKALE grant approved since Jan 2024 and we haven't been able to deploy because of engineering / integration bottlenecks. And Yes, we are fully deployed on Polygon and soon to be on other EVM compatible networks but we were looking to SKALE community for the gaming focus and we wait patiently
That's a bit concerning
Whats stopping you from deploying your own subgraph? We had todo the same for Ruby exchange. Yes, it's not ideal to self host, but there shouldn't be tech preventing you from moving forward.
Please see the latest update "Sunbeam has Begun" from Graph. They have deprecated it for all new projects and are now asking all to move to their service. Deploying your own subgraph is no longer available as an option for all new projects since last 8 weeks.
Well this still doesn't apply because we hosted the indexer node ourselves. So, I think you can still self host .
We will try this out. Thanks. The SKALE team has also given us another endpoint to "test" to see if it works. We will try that and see whether or not it works. Will share updates when done and results - either ways.
Sounds good. I just read over the docs on thegraph and selfhost is still available, but of course they want to push the Decentralied network , etc.
It is available for projects already hosted. They are not allowing for any new deployments
