theme focus on piracy, which carries negative connotations for most people, instead of emphasizing privacy?
Because the movement is more than for privacy only - also for daring to stand up for freedom.
I understand your perspective, but there are several themes with much better connotations to freedom and privacy than piracy. From my experience in branding, I often believe this was a poor choice by the team. Specially in an industry like crypto were several scams are usual occurences, the branding doesn't truly help with gaining trust from "normies"
I see very well your point. And this has been discussed multiple times over the years, and some changes have been implemented to get rid of negative aspects such as skulls, darkness and other death-related stuff. But overall the theme has stayed so and the team has decided this to be the best. I also personally thought of creating a side-brand, while keeping the same blockchain and software, but that did not take off well, plus had some issues with leaving buyers of ARRR a wrong impression (when buying ARRR under a different ticker name).
That's a bummer. I think with enough time people would adopt to the change. But hey that's up to team. Thanks for your perspective though!
I've been telling these guys this for a year. Trust me dude. When it comes to this topic, u might as well be talking to a brick wall. There are too many feelings out there. It's ridiculous
