"As it turns out, Judge Amon has a local court rule that directs parties NOT to file their briefs (original motion, response brief, and reply brief) until they all are completed (screenshot below). Then, they all get filed at the same time. I’ve personally never seen a rule like this, and really don’t understand why this rule exists, but it does. Thanks to Marc Fagel as well (don’t know if he wants to be tagged, so I won’t do it here) for confirming that he hasn’t seen this rule in other courts."
Doesn't seem like a terrible rule. Less knee jerk rubber banding at every step methinks. No expert but that's my take.
