Why did we stop caring? what's the point of even extracting the app from the public web to a self-hosted app, if it can't even be used?

Ok, I personally don't care because I don't use that old frontend any more since two years ago. But yes, those that still use it, will benefit from it becoming GraphQL independent.

There's no official path to stake. All HEX stakes are created either directly in the HEX contract, or proxy via contracts running a top of the HEX contract.

lots of stuff works, but why not the actual hex.com app? Our self-hosted shining beacon on the hill is burnt out & saving no one from anything, because you cant even use it

It was extracted off the web for a reason... do we want to wait until an extreme situation before we fix it? or would it be better to have the contengency plan working the moment it is needed

I don't think anyone cares as there are other frontends that don't use GraphQL on the go hex com list. But an Graph independent frontend will replace the one currently on IPFS protocol.
