I invite you to join the Velveteen Network, an innovative

and decentralized space built on Holochain technology. VelvetNet is a vast digital ecosystem where you can communicate, share files, listen to music, explore art galleries, participate in digital marketplaces, and much more. As a Holochain hApp, the network is fully decentralized—each user runs their own part of the network on their device, without relying on central servers. All interactions are continuously validated through an advanced cryptographic system, ensuring privacy and security. This is a new concept of a digital community, where collaboration and sharing happen autonomously and in real time.

Distributed systems are widely adopted and used in most modern software applications. Social media apps, video streaming services, e-commerce sites, and more are all based on distributed systems. Centralized systems naturally evolve into distributed systems to handle scalability. But ownership (let's say that to make it clear) is central. But if I say: Holochain is decentralized, it is implicitly understood that it is also distributed. A decentralized thing (so that does not have a central "property") is obviously also distributed
