If Tezos is having bot issues, it should privatize access to its APIs and provide API keys to legitimate developers, distributing them through an application process. This way, they would know who each API key belongs to. That way, if any API key engages in malicious activity, they will know where the attack is coming from since it would be the only way to access the APIs. This is how it should be done.
But as long as anyone has access to the APIs, anyone will be able to set up automated mechanisms... Well, I still don't fully understand Tezos yet. I'm just here learning about it. Could you identify projects within Tezos, whether coins or NFTs, that have products or services in their business structure?
