Pirate isn't on uniswap or metamask. Metamask is a web wallet that allows you to give permissions over your wallet to whatever smart contract you're interacting with, like Uniswap. You really shouldn't use them unless you are interacting with smart contracts. For just holding coins, wallet software you download to your device is far more secure.
I understand but you can swap ARRR to XMR and still use the benefits of Uniswap and metamask that way?
It doesn't work that way. I suggest you do some reading into what a decentralized actually is, and what the difference is between for example Ethereum and the Pirate Chain blockchain.
You can use https://www.coingecko.com to find out where a coin is listed. Pirate Chain's coin ARRR is not listed on Uniswap, because it's incompatible. Pirate Chain is a privacy blockchain, the technology is very different from Ethereum.
XMR isn't on Uniswap either. Uniswap is a DEX for tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. You can only trade tokens that were minted on ethereum. Pirate and Monero have their own blockchains. We're not a token on an existing chain. There are what they call "bridged" tokens on uniswap like wrapped bitcoin(WBTC). Essentially you send your real bitcoin to an address someone controls, and they send you an Ethereum token that represents the real bitcoin, but can be used on Uniswap. There might be a wrapped Monero token like this, I'm not sure. I'm not in that world. I find most smart contract platforms to be a waste of time. The only DeFi I'm interested in is Atomic Swaps like we have at Komodo Wallet, and things like the PBaaS chains on Verus.
