chains the same time? just interested in some technique behind it
Eventually u will be left with only the eth tokens and whatever is not exchanged by the end of the year become useless
yes i know about that, thats why i tried to find out how this is working. Not about how a price is set up, ofc its by demand and offer. The questions is more like, how can the price be the same? hows it linked? in my mind its on different chains
Usually it’s a smart contract that wraps a token 1:1
They definitely fluctuate a little differently but it corrects itself because no one is going to pay more for one when they can get the other for less
you're not going to be able to continue to trade the old one just convert it
yes, we will be able to convert it for an year or sth. So due to the fact lets say i have 100k Omi token, they will ofc always stay 100 omi token. If i do swap em to the new chain the first day and on that day the omi price would be 0.006, id get the same amount of 100 omi token and they would be worth 0.006 right? Now lets say i keep em half a year more on gochain and swap em in february next year, i still have my 100 omi token and still will get 100 new omi token on the new chain for the actual market price of the new chain right?
