Oh ok. I will take a look. I think polkadot gonna be huge like eth. Will wait to hear from team.
No idea what that is, and never heard of it I’m afraid, so cannot answer. Just do your own research I guess.
Ok, thanks. Will do
I will say our main direction now is not node hosting. It’s API services, Staking and Bonds. StakeFi for Polkadot will happen very soon.
Oh ok. I just read that Pinknode does both nodes and api. Is stakedi like defi?
In terms of api services, are u seeking to compete with chainlink
What exactly does ankr do in terms of staking? Does it provide the necessary foundations to allow others to stake?
What will you relationship with polkadot look like?
Finally, can the ankr team do what it does without the ankr token. As in can ankr provide all thesr services with or without the ankr token
The Alpha dash and more will require the Ankr token. We also are integrating the token deeply in to other upcoming deliverables. We remain committed to ensuring the Ankr token sits at the heart of our services.
Well if you run a node, you tend to do this for one of two reasons: - as a validator, to earn rewards - as a point of entry to the blockchain as a developer, to interact with it The first of these cases we are covering with StakeFi. The second of these cases we cover with our API services. The idea is that unless there’s a very specific reason to do so, you’ll not need our node hosting. Here’s the thing about our API service: if you run a node then you just have that node for access. Performance is based on latency to that node, and it’s a single point of failure. You also are limited in terms of bandwidth. Our API service clusters together many nodes globally to provide: - greater stability - better average latency from any global point - enhanced bandwidth capability for high-performance requirements Not just that, for our entry-point API service it’s free to use! Once you start using it to a greater extent you can subscribe to our service for more bandwidth, TX/sec etc. Hope this helps.
Pin it copy and paste and lock it to your clip board so you don't write all that again. Great explanation.
Thanks
You said the entry poing for API services are free. That is a key point that i think allotvof people don't understand. So you can essentially test on ankr and if you want to expand then you can pay for the expansion.
Yes precisely.
