I have some question regarding the Cosmos hub. Is the

cosmos hub a single blockchain in the cosmos ecosystem which connected to other single blockchain like crypto.com and osmosis to form an ecosystem? Does transaction between chain have to go through the cosmos hub first before reaching each other?
E.g: does the transaction of trading OSMO with CRO goes through the cosmos hub? Or the transaction just happen between those osmosis and crypto.com chain.

If transaction happen between just osmosis and crypto.com chain, then what is the use case of the cosmos hub? Does all those chain needed to connected to the cosmos hub first?

Also, does ATOM main function is for Staking and governance for the cosmos chain? Or ATOM is used to govern the the whole cosmos ecosystem?

As I am new to here and am a little confused after reading the online materials, I would be very appreciated for more explanation🙏🏻

Sure 👍 Lots of people think that because of this design ATOM lacks value capturing mechanism but it's this exact mechanism that enables Cosmos to scale out infinitely and attract way more projects than any other ecosystem out there. Cosmos Hub is still privileged in a way that it has a good reputation within the ecosystem and that it has a first mover advantage when it comes to offering various services such as DEXes, bridges, shared security features etc. Imo ATOM is the most important crypto asset behind only BTC but it's a long term play. Some people understand the immense value ATOM is creating and some simply cant see it. 😀

It’s been this year only, and sadly after the one snapshot used by every project … I used to see crypto and defi one way, and then I studied these projects; and now i’m all in. Literally probably the rest of my life will be about this ecosystem and my part of it
