the 36.61% APR coming from?
Because over 90% of hex is liquid
It's not 40% anymore. More like 12% now.
Its calculated be the length of your stake, how much you stake and how many people are in the pool
Its dynamic so a 10 year stake of 1000 HEX yields 33% on average and you get all the t-shares people dump when they emergency un-stake
Well, if you stake 1mill coins for 10 years, you trippled your amount and that equals to 12% APY. So there is no fucking chance the APY is 40% now.
Forgetting we still being gatekeot and previral it’s only gonna moon
Some sites make money when you lose money. They profit from you switching positions and coins over and over. Some profit from advertising you things that will get you rekt. Your job is to notice, that in crypto, "some" actually means "most." (This means ranking sites and margin trading sites. The only good thing is fiat onramp exchanges, they're necessary.)
Yes, but talking about 40% APY now, is just not correct, it's far off. And it's not even 12% if you stake smaller amount. To get 12% you need to stake mniimmum 1 million hex for 10 years. That will equal it.
The 40% is based on the average stake lenght
40% APY isn’t far off for long stakers…regardless of how much you stake. I jumped in and may have missed the context sorry.
It's FAR OFF IT NOW. Go and chek yourself, if you stake 1 mill hex for 10 years, you will have 3 mill hex. That is a 200% more. 200% in 10 years NEVER equals a APY of 40%. It's just NOT possible. Unless you don't know any mathematics.
You understand that APY has to do with the inflation you receive from HEX right? Has nothing to do with your longer pays better bonus.
thats not how it works my guy, you should probably go back to the basics
You are missing this… 700B of HEX exist…3.69% inflation occurs….stakers get a part of that…if few people stake they get all of that inflation…if one person stakes they get 700B*3.69=HEX
read the layman guide
Read my above comment
Alright, I was only talking about the amount of Hex given when using the Hex.com app. And I calculated it using those numbers.
You are missing this… 700B of HEX exist…3.69% inflation occurs….stakers get to split all of that…if few people stake they get all of that inflation…if one person stakes they get 700B*3.69=HEX This is really big number and your APY would be crazy…more people stake and the APY earned (calculated on a daily basis) goes down. So with only 10% of people staked they share a really big number of HEX…this is where the APY is derived from.
when you stake you get tshares. use the tshares to calculate your daily interest which recently is on avg 5.8 hex per tshare, and then multiply by length of stake
it is far larger than just 200%
Ok, I understand. But that number can be anything then. Depending on how many people stake, like you said.

Max 3.69 interest if everyone stakes
Yes…see hex.com for this chart…. But yes it is like the earning of a miner…it varies based on number of miners (or hash rate). More people mining…you earn less…mathematically programmed feedback mechanism. This feedback system creates a game that will incentivize people to stake when staking is low…
Alright I did, så then you would get 3,3 mill hex using the 5,75hex/t-share rate. Instead of 2 mill hex in bonus. This is when you stake 1 miill hex for 3650 days. So you get abit more using the method you said. But that is also a dynamiic number, cause Hex paid out p. t-share can vary.
yes and the avg payout per day over time will rise
True, but it still never adds up to 40% APY. I just can't see how that number is derived from.
max inflation or interest paid out = 3.69 percent. only 10 percent of current address stake hex in effect making the apy 37-40 percent depending on fluctuations in total percentage staked i believe

I’m getting 33% now
The 40% apy is based on passed performance. The future apy is hard to accurately determine because it's based on tshare payout + EES, those 2 things is difficulty to determine because they're not constant it's dynamic. For example when we had a 10 hex per tshare payout a couple of weeks ago the apy was 64%. So Big EES can effect apy quite a bit, and we never know when that will happen. The longer you stake the more tshare you have the higher the tshare payout and the more likely you are to never miss EES penalties.
