more about the involvement of core devs in tswaps project
1) is tswaps paying for core dev time?
2) will this scare away other developers who think there won't be an equal playing field.
3) why approach it this way vs an open grant program and allow tswaps to make their own improvements / hire people
4) are core dev project being put on the back burner to support tswaps?
5) this does not seem to match the core dev mandate as I understand it, how do you justify this spending core dev funds on this?
@DAPPerD @rorymapstone
I reached out to @avral he said he will reach out to you. I think we should take a balanced approach for tswaps / alcor and not pick winners imo. I do understand your point about needing a dex, I just wish the development would not use core dev funds
We are not picking winners, we are applying supplemental funding to those who are building on Telos and reaching out to us to propose relatively inexpensive ways that we can support them. I would welcome many more such proposals but so far this is all I've received.
i'm not sure if Douglas replied yet but i think he said dstor node operators need a quick way to swap the tokens they earned operating a node. and we need a telos brand amm regardless so i think it's a good use of funds.
