I think this is how a free market works 🔥
I think it's bullish for Ultra because it's almost ready for them while Epic will need to work a lot but ofc it's possible Epic succeed to put in place a solution and take this market
Hey Rami, Ive been wondering if you could give your thoughts about how Ultra could utilize on-chain data and blockchain itself to help developers fight in-game cheaters. Or maybe just blockchain in general (not Ultra specific). I think its quite an interesting topic not many talk about
or Epic could just use what Ultra built and make their own store on top with their own model. win-win imo
Since Epic's CEO said "We aren’t touching NFTs as the whole field is currently tangled up with an intractable mix of scams, interesting decentralized tech foundations, and scams" literally 17 days ago I don't think they are well positioned to be champions in this space and even if they try to get in now are years behind Ultra.
It's certainly possible...Exciting times. 😄
This is something I think a lot about, actually. Nathan and I worked on an identity system for the EOS mainnet for years to solve very similar problems. Basically, there needs to be a generalized mechanism for setting reputation, but those should be segmented into sub types. Say, for in game behavior, cheating, community contribution, etc. I think there a lot of interesting use-cases for tech like this, including things like shadow banning users in-game instead of outright bans, setting thresholds for the quality of players you want to play with, etc. It's actually something I discussed with @davidhultra this past week.
Interesting. Would be with Machine Learning to be able to measure all these different behaviors?
