What the unlocking does is allow some team members/investors access to their RSR. The way that affects the project is that we might see a large amount of RSR being staked - or not - we don't know yet. I've listened and read a lot about how VCs invest, and most follow a Power Law principle where they let investments run until "billions or bust". For our largest investors, with the capital they have, including Peter Thiel, Sam Altman and Digital Currency Group it would make more sense for them to hold or stake their tokens after the unlocking, but that is of course not a guarantee.

Mainnet launch and everything that revolves around it: the staking, the DAO, the dApp, ... will all be very interesting indeed. I personally can't wait to play around with it all.

True. This will lift the project to a whole new level. And even if the unlockings WOULD turn out to affect the project negatively in the short term, mainnet will still compensate that mid- to long term imho

True, true.. The fact is that mainnet is kind of like the initial official launch of the protocol. The way I see it, we're only at the very beginning of where we eventually would like to end up. Kind of like Uber successfully launching in San Francisco (which was a very small win compared to what they achieved later on in other cities).

I would say Venezuela is our San Francisco, but we're not even close on being done there. Most of our efforts still go entirely to adoption in Venezuela as we see a large demand there.
