and also any idea if the road map ever amended?
I've got to hop in a meeting now - let me get back to you afterwards!
Hi is it possible to get some info on this pls?
I was wondering where to point you too Dave, but what we have are our long term goals, and our short term ways of getting there. Our long term goal is to provide stable currency worldwide, in a way that your average person can use crypto as money without expertise or tech savviness, and where your currency is protected from inflation and useable in everyday scenarios. Alongside that sits real-world adoption - that's everyday people using Reserve as comfortably as they would banking (we may hit 600,000 registered users today 👀), and expanding into more countries and retailers as we go. Bearing in mind, that's your everyday person slotting Reserve into their lives - not crypto people trying to use crypto in their day-to-day lives because it's crypto. And doing that with full compliancy, local knowledge, customer support, and merchants accepting Reserve or using us for payroll. And alongside that sits our offering to the crypto-markets: a fully collaterised and insured stable coin, in a market where algorithmic stables are the traditional flavour. Things that I am watching short term: - More from Mexico - Mercado Libre is offering Reserve as a payment option in Venezuela (went live two weeks ago) - A debit/credit card is in the works for later this year - And mainnet, we're tracking it's #progress here, and when that arrives it ties a lot of the parts of process together.
Mainnet is coming, and progress to code freeze is currently at 83%. We are tracking development on the mainnet dashboard here > https://bit.ly/3KqFF1F We don't have an ETA in mind yet, but once we have a launch window, we will announce it here and on Twitter. Use the #faq tag to find out more about Reserve 🙌
I agree with most of the bits mentioned: that’s a brilliant way to progress and I do believe in the long term vision. What I wanted to know was about those current investors list are they current or latest to be updated?
As far as I know, everything on the website is current, and most/many of our early investors are here for the long term goals as well as for advisory knowledge. I can't speak for them all without ringing them up (😁) but we won't keep information on our website that is not current or accurate - and particularly on a page like Investors.
Excellent thanks. Any tentative time frame or projections on mainnet live?
Only in that we're following the dashboard for progress, as we've learnt from the past how arbitrary an ETA can be. People guess their own ETAs all the time from that, and all power to them, but all I can add is it's a faithful reflection of their progress, there's baked-in uncertainty to the estimates (as in, it leans conservative), and it's updated ~weekly after the Devs have their retro/planning meetings (usually Monday/Tuesday).
Thank you, Now that’s sounds like a wage response, I understand you don’t have a certain date given to you may be it’s totally agile development situation. But there might be some sort of vision of rollout month or quarter given by Nevin. To be honest We are all glued up with project. Just some clear timelines put our mind to ease. Hope you understand?
Completely agree, but if I offered a vague opinion, or Nevin's opinion, even a guess, it would go through the Chinese whispers process and be "confirmed" - April was a fun month in this channel 🙃 Individually, I wouldn't want the Devs feeling any need to sacrifice security for speed. (They're smarter than that anyway, but anyway 😁)
And also, just wondering - all these investors usually have their invested projects listed on there company profile , that’s seems to not popping up when you look investor Names like Sam Altman, Peter Thiel, Coinbase
They are shy about putting Reserve on their portfolio.
Really ! they are all listed companies raised public money… these companies usually share with SEC and other about their investments and simultaneously suppose to be publishing on there website to keep it transparent.
So did you check?
So you can't find anything at all?
Send me something you where you see?
I'll check it out.
Nice one Daffy 👏 I can't answer for what's on third party sites, but all of the publically mentioned investors are legitimate ones we're pleased to have on-board with us
They are. You can check the Digital Currency Group, Coinbase Ventures & BlockTower pages and you'll find Reserve on there.
