So with mirror if you use aUST as collateral to

mint an mAsset to repay you have to repay the exact amount of mAsset and not the dollar value correct? So borrowing with the intention of holding the mAsset really provides no benefit? The only benefit is to use the mAsset to short/long farm?

Yes exactly ! if you borrow sth you have to use it otherwise you borrow it for nothing. It’s pretty the same for everything: tools, money, stocks…. anything. Don’t borrow what you don’t need ;)
