here goes: Do you think the Revolut company is not a major contender against Reserve?
I know Revolut is centralized but the fact that you can put your money there and convert to any currency can be a competitor or not ? What are you views on this ? This make sense? @RSVSinatra
I know of the product, but haven't dived deep into exactly how it works. What we typically see with existing apps like Revolut, PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, etc. is that they tend to "play it safe" and not provide access to countries with strict capital controls like Venezuela, Argentina, ... I just checked where Revolut is available, and they are indeed not available in the main countries where we are serving. Besides that there is the centralized element + the fact that they are not using crypto in the app. I believe using crypto opens up many more doors that ultimately benefit the user (such as the DeFi-cash token we're releasing). It's probably a great app for its specific usecase, but it doesn't seem to be targetting exactly what we are.
Revolut is the PayPal/CashApp of Europe. Reserve is the CashApp of South/Central America (And soon México!)
