If I remember correctly, in the future, a reserve stablecoin

will have a basket of assets that will stabilize its price.

Reserve currently uses the US dollar as its main currency. In the event that the dollar also has high inflation (it probably won't happen soon), how will look the protocol change from using the dollar to a basket of assets?

When we release mainnet later this year, the protocol will have two stablecoins on it - RSV (backed by 3 USD stablecoins) and a second stablecoin for which the name hasn't been decided yet (backed by DeFi-bearing assets). Both will be related to the value of the USD. However, in the future we will create another stablecoin on the protocol which will be backed by the basket of assets you speak of. As it will be just another stablecoin, the holders of the USD-backed stablecoin would have to sell their tokens and buy the new stablecoin instead.
