going to convince anyone to stake HEX if you haven't done it yourself
it is not hard. I never said I wont stake. I will stake but it wont be for 10 years. Is there a problem with that? I like everything to be well balanced. I am not greedy. All I am saying is dont put all your eggs in one basket. It is best to have some liquidity
HEX's price went up the fastest when its liquidity was the lowest. Bitcoin's price went up the fastest when its liquidity was lowest. Ethereum's price went up the fastest when its liquidity was the lowest.
That’s true in most cases, however with hex you’ll want All the eggs in one basket, it’s unstoppable literally
The 10 year gets you 55,000 hex for your 6400 hex investment. 8.7 x
The hex value is the interest and principal after the 1 tshare per year stake has completed. This is a very conservative model.
so given your analytical example how wouild I use the stake tools to estimate my gas fees on a daily basis if I am holding half for 5 years and the other for 10 years?
You have no ETH fee while staked. When you end stake you will have a fee, but by then, ETH 2.0 should fix it for the most part.
ohhh. So you telling me I dont pay gas fees until my stake ends either at 5 or 10 years>
Yes, no gas fees until you want to move hex or sell or whateve
You pay g as to start a stake, you pay g as to end a stake - nothing in between
Exactly. Just save a bit of ETH for the end stake, and some liquid hex as a hedge since hex might go up faster than eth
so it seems like when I pay to start the stake it only happens one time. So if I start two stakes one at 5 and the other at 10 I only pay two times in the beginning and two times at the end when I end the stake????
In the staker app you will be able to pay out of the stake you are ending
I often here crypto folks say this "All I am saying is don't put all your eggs in one basket" and "I need a portfolio" but I think you would benefit from listening to this gem by a smart mind from this community: https://twitter.com/askconradzen/status/1445318462495080452
