I know nothing about kadena Telos is 10k tps, 0.5s blocktimes Strong governance and no whales (basically enter chain is a dao) No front running Eosio smart contracts are powerful Txns are cheap / free Telos has an evm running in one of its smart contracts so both eosio and evm smart contracts can run on it Open governance platform that is available for any group to use an adapt as they need

Thank you for the response. They’re saying it’s the fastest platform (480k TPS) by far and it’s proof of work vs proof of stake. Again, I don’t mean to mention another coin, just trying to understand how we compete?

Alot of chains report tps in different ways that allow them to inflate numbers, telos has been tested to run at 10k tps and I believe they did some stress testing for the EVM and plan to publish results

Kadena is sharded, so basically each chain is independent, its not the same comparison (480k divided by 20 = 24k). Like I said it is easy to manipulate numbers. Solana claims 50k tps, but include a bunch of actions that no other chains include in their calcs. Actual tps is ~5k.i am sure diving into it will reveal more inflated stats

Do the math on 480k TPS… there’s not enough time to do a meaningful transaction with that… unless they are sharding pretty heavily. And when you shard you split up your network into silos, and inevitably one of them becomes more popular and now you’re bound by the capacity per shard. Unless of course 480k is measuring their own version of transactions like Solana, which is a whole different level of hand waving where they measure stuff that’s not a user transaction just to bloat their numbers. End of the day, you cannot process two transactions at once or you’ll have double spends. So our measurements are always user transactions that transfer value. Solana decided to measure all their peer to peer communication, we aren’t gonna waste our time doing that but rest assured we could find a massive number if we went looking for things to measure in our P2P network besides actual user transactions.
