there a function in the wallet which blocks SegWit transfers to incompatible addresses and if so, how does it work?
Hi, thank you for replying, but the command doesn't seem to work. My question is this: There's a guy, claiming to have tried to deposit a large amount of BTC into our system. It can not be found anywhere in the logs. He claims that's because your wallet "blocked the transaction due to address incompatibility, because he used SegWit" and that he is now waiting to receive that amount back (where from - this makes no sense) minus the fee. When asked for a TX ID he is unable to provide one, but claims it's because the transaction was blocked by the wallet. But if it were indeed blocked by the wallet, why would he be waiting for it to come back minus the fee and wouldn't there still be a TX ID? I don't think his story makes any sense. I just want a confirmation from your side if he is indeed a scammer.
The wallet doesn't block anything
