Okay. Good to know that you would honor existing contracts in your role as a board member, if I understood correctly.
I'd really appreciate other candidates to share their view on this matter. Many people not being in the core team have left positions to be able to work on Telos. Since many of these people could be assumed as token holders and thus voters, it may reassure them why you're worth their vote(s). Just my 2 cents.
I think I have made my position clear on this. I am reiterating, I would 100% support existing contracts, the most important thing is continuity.
Were you able to read the TBNOA already? If so, what is the current situation right now in Telos Block-Producers that you think would need a major change? and why? After this one, I still have another question for you.
Do you think all board members should refrain from working positions, or is that just a standard you hold personally?
This is a very complicated question. I'm not finished reading through all of the TBNOA yet. Let me finish reviewing it and provide a thorough response...I'll try to get this done by tomorrow.
You don't actually have to do that if you still haven't read it yet. I still have another question though.
I think agility is more important than hard-fast rules. So the NIFO thing is just a general guideline for board members, especially as it relates to the question of honouring existing contracts when the tf board members rotate in and out. In general though I think there may be situations where a Board member could be given a working position. It would of course require a lot of transparency around how the individual is selected along with compensation details, but this isn't an overly huge community so its not unreasonable for some potential overlap. It's not ideal, but all things considered I think it can be done.
Oh no its ok...I need to do this, its very important! Ask away though if you have another question, no need for permission from me :)
Do you think that you are the best candidate right now to bring a major change to the Telos Ecosystem as a whole, the reason that out of no-where you wanted to run in the Board of Directors seat and not trust the existing ones that they could actually make a difference? In my point of view if someone who hasn't been long immersed inside the community and wanted to run in the Board of Directors's Seat, there is the NEED for a drastic change. What change is this that you think you could propose? Please let us know what is your take on this.
Hmm, interesting question. I guess first I should say that I'm not suggesting Telos needs a "major change". From what I can see Telos is doing incredibly well and moving in the right direction as a community and ecosystem. In terms of my emergence, it wasn't exactly out of nowhere...I was close by in a neighboring community, and certainly aware to some extent was what going on over here, but more high level. I've of course been a TLOS holder from launch and have added TLOS to my holdings after chain launch. My intention to join the TF is definitely not to take away a seat from someone else! That's the furthest from my intention in fact! I really think I can add value to the TF, to Telos, and to all of EOSIO, and is where my motivations stem from. I don't see this the same way you do in terms of a "need" for drastic change. I think there is always a need for diversity of opinions, and a need for capable individuals to collaborate to achieve maximum output, but neither of those are predicated on a need for change. Change is inevitable, so the question to me is less about what to change, and instead is more about how we respond to change. Also I'll add that there is often value in having fresh eyes join an existing structure. Especially if those eyes belong to someone who is good at listening, reflecting, and responding from a non-judgemental place.
Thank you for this response.
