Hi everyone and thank you for this opportunity to be

an Election Candidate for the TF Board 2021.

When I was a youngster I studied Chemistry and one our our teachers said that the best way to communicate was utilizing multiple senses, and this was before Smart Phones, Urban Dictionaries and todays evolution of Social Media with their codes and digital cultures.
So the best way to know me is to actually encourage me and test me with difficult questions during a video call. It shows so much more of the person behind the keyboard and the answers can not be planned or directed. However I will do my best to not talk but be precise of why I want to be on the board and how it may be beneficial for Telos.

First a little bit of myself.
My name is Filip Poverud and I live in Norway. I’m 46y old with two kids, prominent engineers in the digital new era, still need a little help from daddy, but on their way out of the safeheaven to conquer the world.
I was educated in chemistry and microbiology. I had a wish of becoming a scientist, but during the last year I got in touch with some engineers studying radiowaves and it fascinated me so much so I became a radio amateur and this ruined my education. I spent more time building transceivers than filling our boring lab reports.
After school I was a lazy teenager, mom kicked me into a course where I learned how to write a CV, but during the course I spent more time helping the other with computer problems than writing my own CV, and they figured they could give me a trainee job and this was the start of my IT career back in 1995.

I quickly found that this was what I enjoyed and I did a quite nice career in IT, starting from first line support to Business Advisory today with an experience of almost anything you can imagine from enterprise solutions and infrastructure.

Inbetween I also had an interest of the Army and Volunteer work for the Red Cross. On my spare time I was engaged in various activities and I became an instructor for Alpine Rescue, Survival and Search and Rescue on Land and on the Sea. I was also involved in the local board and achieved international experience by building up a kindergarden in Russia.

My interest for the Armed Forces also began as a youngster and through a Youth National Guard service, my mandatory service officer school and three operations in Afghanistan, made me see the world from a new angle. I say that I wish more people could see what is happening behind the TV.
So if you now think, was Filip in combat ? Yes I have been and I will not talk about it. It’s the worst thing you can do to a veteran.

Two broken knees, one broken foot later I left the work to the younger people and came back to reality.
I was tired of doing advanced troubleshooting, implementations and development. I wanted to advance so just before the Covid-19 season started, I switched jobs and became certified in Salesforce and started my new career as a business advisor using the Salesforce trend as my ladder to become a solution architect.
During 2020 I got in touch with some crypto enthusiasts and because I’m curious by nature I started digging into technology, trends, people and was fascinated how an advanced version control system became a way of earning fast money from bubbles.
This was the start of my journey with Destiny World where we wanted to build a hub between technology and people to prepare the world and everyday people for this new Web3.0 revolution with a decentralized but safe landscape if navigated correctly.

I was a Custodian for the Vigor Protocol for some time on the EOS blockchain and I have also been selected as a community representative for signing larger transactions related to T-Bonds and now I spend so much time on blockchain tech, design and Telos that I consider them to be my second family. So why not become a part of it and use my voice ?
