Very much so, yes. You created those seed words offline, so as long as they never see the online world then it's far safer (e.g don't type then anywhere, don't save pictures of them on your phone or the cloud). You can still get yourself rekt by interacting with malicious contracts, so you still need to take care
I had to put it a passphrase for the MM/trezor connection. How are the seed words on my trezor protecting my investment if the trezor account on MM does not have access to the seed words?
You have to interact with the trezor to manually sign every transaction. Did you put your 12 seed words into Metamask somewhere???
No it was a 1 word passphrase I created
