a telos wallet address using anchor?
telos.net/signup You can create one here and then import it to anchor using private keys. Or get a paid one on anchor
I hope this works for you. https://youtu.be/sJTW5orx9Gw
after that you can import the PK in anchor, else anchor also has a paid account creation service
I am stuck when selecting accounts, don't know what to choose between @active and @owner I even don't know the difference between them.
As others have pointed out, it's best to use the active permission. We should probably take this opportunity in Anchor to recommend a course of action. I see this question being asked a lot, so I'm jotting down some ideas on how we could improve that.
Great idea! I agree it seems to cause a lot of confusion. Next thing to tackle is resource management ;) I think those two things are probably the most challenging for new users.
Partially cause it doesn't exist on other chains. Other chains have public / private we have 5 different things lol confuses everyone
Same with resource management 1 vs 3
That's why we cover transaction costs in CPU/NET in a limited fashion and then do fees when beyond. Fees also cover RAM costs. Free with an occasional fee is far easier than trying to explain staking, REX, RAM, etc to someone who just wants to use the chain. I think we have a good handle on resource management - just needs to be rolled out much wider and have more providers. The research paper we are working on includes proposals to tackle extend these systems far and wide.
+1 that Greymass has an amazing solution here, it doesn’t require any changes to system contracts so we just need apps/front ends to adopt it.
So much can be done in the SDKs to help here and give all apps access to it. It's just never been prioritized or funded. Most apps are build with SDKs that haven't changed much since the first chain launched, despite numerous features coming online. Definitely a point of frustration for me. I was starting to feel like an old man yelling at the sky until these working groups started 😂 Fingers crossed we see interest in the projects proposed and funding made available.
