of my friends who own telos on kucoin to farm on omnidex. I'm fairly computer literate, but explaining him the process is anything but easy. The main stumbling block is getting a telos account. Before it was easy with telos sign. Now I've tried anchor (you have to pay a small fee), so not ideal for mass quick adoption (plus I had no idea why i had 3 public keys appear), i downloaded wombat, it says private keys aren't available unless you have an EOS account and then I tried Math Wallet - it doesn't even have telos has one of it's chains on the chrome extension. We all maybe used to having everything setup and it seems seemless to us, but to outsiders, it's mind boggling. I haven't even gotten around to explaining and getting him to look at RAM and CPU yet as he doesn't even have a tlos account. Am I missing a guide or something? Is this process as complicated on other chains / can it be made smoother eventually? I haven't even started to explain metamask yet and moving to EVM...!
I went through this hell yesterday. In shot once you have the address that you created from "https://create.anchor.link/create" you then need to make sure that you have a backup of the owner key (you get this in a pdf format. Take a manual copy of the active key. The go to "tools" in Anchor and "Reset Application" This will delete the config so it is important that you make sure you have you own and active keys backed up. I found if you just start trying to use the wallet you do not have the correct permissions. It was a right pain.
It seems that you can use eosauthority to create accounts too https://eosauthority.com/dashboard?network=telos
