People have different reasons and strategies for doing stuff, no need to dismiss them like that. While unexpected things do happen in tech, i thought things like this get extensively tested in production before deployment. I personally wasn't able to unstake because of the bug, not necessarily because of the early deadline. Seems like the lockup went into effect and only then the bug was discovered, when the lock up should have been turned off before all the bugs are ironed out.
