Well I am not an expert, but why is ATOM

a token and not a coin! For me this sounds always not as good as having a coin! ETH is a coin and tokens are built on it... Why is this different at cosmos?

Many folks just use „wrong“ terminology… in the end language is always subjective to how it is being utilised. If everyone says token, well, it is a token. Technically speaking Atom is a coin, but if the majority agrees to call it token, it is a token.

Hi there, Cosmos is different than Eth it’s because each chain is sovereign specific application. Each chain has its own governance token. You should understand the “Tech” not important if it’s coin or token. Eth is smart contract platfrom,Cosmos builds “Internet of Blockchains”
