starting to see the importance of something like it in the future. Im wondering tho, where does the value come into the token? People can just integrate ibc but that doesnt give and demand to the token itself doss it?
Value comes from growing network effect and from ability of the ATOM stakeholders to take the advantage of the first mover advantage and incorporate that value into various usecases
that was so vague. You need to create demand on a token to increase value. I get the idea of staking driving demand but what makes people want to stake? Wats first movers advantage? Whats various use cases?
its kind of a catch-22. Cosmos for the most part enabled all of this crazy growth to happen, and they don't necessarily directly benefit from it at every corner, but if they had built it to be a blanket revenue stream for themselves then the growth probably would not have happened in the first place
Well I'm not here to sell you on ATOM or to make some unfounded claims. ATOM holders have build the IBC and the interchain but apart form absurdly rich airdrops we have yet to build services to cement Hub's role as the heart of the Interchain. Shared security, IBC routers, bridges etc are coming with the next upgrades. It's up to you if you believe in this vision or not

The value comes from me throwing money at it every month
Haha thats the vibe im getting. So far it seems like a lot of value is from hyped airdrops
Tbh, we're not focused on value accrual atm but on value creation
