They say Nervos is hard-fork-resistant with the CKB-VM. I've no idea

how that's possible.
Let's say a hardfork is a situation where all blockchain Nodes have to go through a software update (the kind of update that has huge effect to the ledger).
Then how can CKB-VM make a difference?

Hello, I recommend you read this article, I think it will solve all your doubts. We are just too early so soft/hard forks are necessary. In the future they will not be. https://talk.nervos.org/t/ckb-version-control-and-blockchain-evolution/4819

I read this. I've invested in CKB for a while. Read the whitepapers, got impressed by their CKB VM and the economic model. And this article abt CKB cell model definitely one of the most valuable things i've read about this network. Now i get the idea how CKB can evolve with the community consensus utilizing cell model as its system contract's storage. This is more than enough. Probably I'll read it some more to understand it all. Thanks @Cylon_bit Surprised how unified Nervos' pieces are as a whole.

You are welcome! In fact I'm just translating it into Spanish to publish it in my community, since it's a great read. It is an example (of many) of the potential of Nervos. Anything JanXie writes is a must read.
