their behalf.” So it will not be coming from any kind of token holding that the company already has?
Has a decision been made on how those measurements/transactions are rated? I saw talk from a team member in this chat the other day about fractional NOIA transactions. I think some are concerned at the possibility (not an accusation) that syntropy could simply have enough NOIA under company control to run the network without the need to acquire more NOIA for a very very long time, and possibly to the point where the speculative side of retail gives up on the token.
The customers can choose to directly interact with the network if they wish to. Be it acquiring tokens themselves or spending the ones they have for unlocking specific services. I do understand the concern for the onramp , however this being internal financial ops I am not quite able to fully address it (not fully aware of the complete procedure, not that I'm unable to talk about it). This would simply require some transparency, or large enough market buys/buy walls to speak for themselves 😁
Utility token value = fees/gas generated + speculation factor. Just like: Stock price = discounted cash flow + speculation factor. Syntropy (the company) has an incentive to ensure the token price is supported and does not crash too far as that lowers the value of the tokens (assets) they hold on their balance sheet.
Team - these are just my speculations and understanding. Please correct if I am wrong.
But that is just one (or some) piece(s) of their profit puzzle, and it could possibly be more financially beneficial to the company’s bottom line if the transactional gas to the network, which they need to have or acquire in order to service and then invoice customers, is very cheap.
Thanks for the response!
Good point but this is why license fees and gas fees should be a set cost in fiat which is then converted to NOIA
Right but to paint the bigger picture if the transactional gas price is very cheap, as in small quantities of NOIA are required to interact with the network, naturally the NOIA/fiat pair price in question is high. Which is beneficial to all holders. Smaller quantity transactions are offset by increased demand and thus volume.
It is very late for me and I’ve now typed and deleted a couple questions that I’ve answered myself (I think) before finishing them, so I’m going to crash for the night and jump back in tomorrow, but thanks for your answers & time!
My pleasure. Have a good one!
Can't wait for the first buy wall!
@dziugas_c or anybody with perspective really-where does the company currently stand on this situation?
Please read those updates by CEO and CTO - you will find them handy
Thanks for the 20 minute homework assignment😂 is the answer not available to you in some reducible, deliverable manner?
Trust me, it will give you a lot of clarity 👍🏻 Since CEOs update answers your question from the bizdev side, and CTOs update answers it from the technology side
