Question

Can someone point me to where I can find how

many TLOS versus wTLOS there are circulating on the TelosEVM? I noticed that omnidex uses TLOS but zappy uses wTLOS for their liquitiy pools but I am not sure why one DEX would choose one over the other. If someone knows the answer to this I would gratefully appreciate it. Cheers! ian

ok I asked there too and no answer either. It seems weird they would use wTLOS when we already use TLOS for the gas fees on the EVM. And when we send TLOS from EOSIO mainnet to EVM it is TLOS and not wTLOS. Just seems like an extra (unecessary) step in Zappy

It’s because the smart contracts are all designed to interact with ERC20 token interface, and TLOS is not a token, it’s the native currency of the EVM network. So to keep the code all consistent, it all just deals with ERC20 tokens, and when it’s TLOS it uses WTLOS contract which wraps the native currency in an ERC20 token.

I think it’s just now it is… the dexs choose to use WTLOS
