are needed for fractally ? According to Dan it is a blocker and ENF has recruited the devs that were going to work on that part for Dan. If ENF doesn't build those contracts does it mean fractally will necessarily be built on another blockchain ?
we should support this product on eos because eos is the chain that needs it the most, we need to grow and improve our community, we need to forget about b1 and set new path for this chain to succeed with new blood in this eco system
I agree with you fractally could attract so much people to EOS and thry would all be adding value to EOS without explicitly knowing it just by trying to add value to their own communities
i think Eden was suppose to be the product that was going to attract a different community to eos but Dan saw it needed a different system that could make eden more productive by giving them incentives and to reward them for their efforts
Yes the key to attract people is funding. EOS didn't go up during the last years because there was 0 incentives to come to EOS there was no foundation and B1 stole all the ICO money. Fractally could become a sort foundation 2.0 if successfull. Today EOS now has a foundation that is doing great but I think trying something like fractally that doesn't exist on any other blockchain would be a big plus for EOS. The worst case scenario after 1 trial year would be that fractally doesn't attract people and the network could stop the funding for fractally.
the key here is "incentives" , other key point is that empowers people to get known and rank up to become more influential in this eco system...if users like getting on video they usually wold want to advance to the next level and become more known in their communities , this is how community leaders are found 😁
As long as there is consensus amongst the wider developer community that the features are useful to the rest of the dev ecosystem, then those features can be placed into a roadmap. I'm not sure if EVERY feature will meet that criteria, but there are most certainly others that do.
OK thanks, I hope we can get a consensus to try this experiment it could attract many people to EOS. Also knowing if we will keep the fractally team on EOS not is an important question for an EOS holder I hope we can clarify this point very soon.
"According to Dan it is a blocker and ENF has recruited the devs that were going to work on that part for Dan." I'd also like to correct this statement... There was no commitment made by these developers prior to them accepting their offer letters last Friday and putting in their resignation notices with their current employer. They could have had offer letters from multiple projects both within and outside of EOSIO for all we know and they made a personal decision to join the ENF. The recruitment efforts began back in August/September, before Fractally even existed, so this notion that they were poached is false. You can count on one hand the number of elite EOSIO developers that weren't already working on a project or initiative related to a public EOSIO network, so it's not like it was some big secret who they were. If they were recruited/poached from anyone, it'd be their current employer rather than Fractally. It's a huge value add to have these gentlemen joining the EOS network regardless of where they ended up. Their future impact cannot be understated and a lot of those reasons were outlined in yesterday's blog article. https://medium.com/eos-network-foundation/securing-talent-for-the-eos-network-c65879fa5597
