due respect, the proposal that was previously forward created a system by which we would essentially have gated all funding for grassroots community efforts around a small handful of people. That isn't in the spirit of what we were all trying to do. To be frank, it wasn't good enough.
At this point, Windranger, a private organization who supports BitDAO because we believe in it and because we can, are in the midst creating a program to offer a non-trivial amount of funding to the entire ecosystem to help drive community building around the world. This funding is not coming from the BitDAO treasury, it is coming directly from Windranger, because we believe in the value it would create. Why isn't this being publicly discussed? Because we simply weren't ready to announce the program! But it was being discussed with many members of Aembassy who had put in the work to build the foundation. I am not involved in every conversation, and I don't know why you wouldn't know these details.
Here's some more criticism- why the hell is this the first time I'm hearing this from you, or anyone, when my name was on that damn proposal?
