Alright, it’s Friday afternoon (in California), you know what that

means. Time for some updates.

Where is the updated roadmap/project update? Why haven’t you freaking released it yet? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks postponed again. We worked hard these past few weeks to get everyone to jump in and contribute and edit so we could publish on time… and we didn’t hit our deadline. We’re still missing a few key sections. If we published right now, it’d be incomplete.

It’s tough. I gave everyone the timeline that I gave because I didn’t expect this to take this long. I’m sorry things are moving slowly and we’re working on processes to move quicker and to be more consistent.

What does that mean? Well, earlier this week I had a meeting with Johan. I brought this example, and the infographic, to him as areas where we can get better. The good news is that he’s right in line. He showed me some plans he’s been working on and let me just say, wow. If iExec can execute on those, we’re going to be a powerhouse. Concrete plans for regular AMAs, product updates, fireside chats. A regular content calendar and product strategy. These are supposed to be finalized and communicated to the team in early May, and when I can share something, I will.

We, the CMs, also update y’all randomly. Sometimes it’s on Monday, sometimes it’s Friday. Sometimes Blair updates, sometimes I do. That’s another area where we can improve. So Blair and I will be meeting next week with PR to finalize how y’all get your info. Same principle applies to Community Rewards: those need to be consistent and predictable. Thanks for your patience as we figure it out.

Speaking of CMs, we all need to be on the same page. This international community is absolutely killing it on social media and we can replicate that across the different regions. Next Thursday, we’re meeting with all the CMs to share best practices. I’ll present the social media plan as a way to regularly and systematically scale the other communities.

Speaking of, our community has taken the lead on growing our Spanish and Portuguese communities. In a short while, their handles have gotten a ton of traction. Special thanks to @Tudor5524 and @Ghostpt13 (the international playboy himself) for taking lead on this.

Awesome update as always Rafal!!! Everytime I see one of your updates i just want to buy more. I've been telling myself for 6 months that this is the last time but I can't resist. Its great to see how much the community involvement has developed in the past year. Great things ahead!! Have a great weekend yourself, you deserve it!!!
