of transactions, if they take into account consensus transactions, why doesn't Telos also specify all transactions? After all, if you do not take into account these internal transactions, then Velas will have less than 10,000? Correct me if I'm wrong!
The fact that Velas needs to boast inflated numbers shows everything there is to know. Just my 2 cents.
Different consensus mechanisms have different amounts of messaging. You can't really compare between blockchains. Better to compare actual txns
Yes, I understand, but for an amateur, these are just numbers that are better! Agree?
No, I didn't mean to lie! Although Velas turns out to be lying and they are all right))
Velas is a Solana fork, so the numbers they are posting are definitely including consensus
Hmm, maybe we also inflate? 100000000 transactions per second anyone?
Yes, I understand that
I didn't know that before now haha, I just looked
Velas has multiple weak points besides the TPS numbers. Check the validator site. Top 10validators have enough stake to stall the network and you don't even know if those 10 validators are controlled by a single identity. Also validators do no get kicked if they not produce blocks.
This is all complex information for a simple investor who does not understand! Is not it? Many people just look at infographics and jump to conclusions.
Yeah, what are you suggesting?
Maybe develop a more informative infographic so that it is easily digested by a common person?! After all, a professional will figure it out himself?🤔
@decentrade maybe we can get some infographics made up that can easily be shared
I have these, but all of them indicate transactions that differ from those officially published by Solana
What information do we need though? There are infographics circulating already. If they seem too complicated, I'm sure the team would appreciate feedback on how to make them more "basic".
They are not complicated, but they differ from the official data.
Of course they do. We don't put their inflated numbers up on our infographics.
What's your point, we put Solana TPS as 50k?
Does that help the ordinary person in choosing Telos?
What do you mean?
I mean to ask what exactly is the problem
I think they are low key asking us to also inflate numbers.
Yes, no problem! It's about being able to make infographics that won't cause confusion! Solana claims that they can process 50 thousand transactions and in our infographics 8 thousand, people are probably confused and think that we are deceiving and underestimating. How else to present information! Just thoughts
Yes because Solana makes things up
No, don't exaggerate. Can make a note of what is 50 thousand and what is 8 thousand and what is really more important or real
Yes, I understand that!)
Oic, so like 8k txns, 50k txn plus consensus
Something like that
https://rekt.news/spotlight-on-solana/
If we put 50k TPS in Solana, isn't that over exagurating?
To be fair, the rekt article suggest Solana could achieve 10k tps theoretical, 5k actual, but right now I know they drop txns when they get even a little busy
People know the truth. If not, they get to learn
You can do 50000/8000 where 50 is all transactions plus consensus, and where 8 is the real characterizing the operation of the blockchain
At about 3200 TPS, they start dropping
Also true, but not all
Right, but we have no way to compare to the 50k because it isn't a number that is comparable between chains
drop tx is an understatement, its been a nightmare for the past month, trying to buy nft on me with 44 tps, not going to happen😂
O wow, dropping txns even at 44 tps
44 tps is like 6tps actual
this past month has been really 100% failure of a few occasions especially when popular nft projects mint
