The problem with BCH is a few thing did develop over time. So the implemented something that works. And from a company standpoint there is absolutely no need to change something that works if it doesn't cut into their profits. BCH is to small to make them care. I keep messaging exchanges that they should use the new address format, but not a single one so far has updated it. Same with the number of confs. There are only 2 ways to make them care: People move to other better exchanges in significant numbers. Or enough people keep nagging them so that they think people would leave the exchange if they don't fix it.
