for fees, doesn't this mean that the token needs to remain cheap so it's appealing for business as well as pay cheaper fees?
No actually, because the bandwidth will be defined in Fiat.
Thank you for both responses :)
This doesn’t work. You are implying a customer who bought their tokens today will have a different expenditure rate next month because the price has changed. Remember, if the mechanism adjusts then it makes existing customers unable to predict how long their tokens will last which doesn’t make sense as they are signing term based contracts
No
Very insightful thank you. The fact nobody from the team has disagreed with an explanation means what I said is pretty accurate
For me doesnt make sense, really
This is a reply which was related to the question that Džiugas already answered and stated the fact.
The amount you pay for the token is irrelevant when it comes to pricing. To keep the cost stable, the amount of NOIA paid, has to be adjusted as the price changes. If the token is more valuable, the amount of NOIA tokens paid will decrease, as each unit is worth more. As the price drops, you will have to send more NOIA, because it's now worth less. The price you pay for the token and the price you pay when you actually use the token, are not related. I don't really know how else to explain this.
But this is not great for clients
You'll be able to get more for your money if you buy the token at the lowest price you can. Similar to us. All that's needed is something to calculate what the cost is in $, and then adjust the amount of NOIA needed based on the price movement.
