But you need a never ending story and game. I think earning is not something secondary if it helps you to access to new areas, missions, powers or whatever any crazy new thing in the game.

But, Do I need earn tokens to unlock levels, missions, powers...? In my opinion, that's not interesting. Give me X $Rose for finishing levels, defeat monsters and I'll be there

It's something strange, but gamers ( I'm one of them) have a huge ego, I mean, I play to win a be the best and I don't care if I earn something just for spending hours playing, earn is always secondary.
