Well I recently learnt more about P2E gaming and I've some takeaways. One of the major takeaways is for years gamers have been the ideal audience: they spend massive amounts of money on in-game assets which never really belonged to them. Game developers were the ones to make a profit and control all the ownership rights and then things started to change with blockchain, NFT and a decentralized play-to-earn working model, which revolutionized the multi-billion online gaming industry. Gamers got the right to truly own their in-game assets and earn crypto rewards for playing a game. Players got the real ability to trade in-game assets on marketplaces inside and outside the game. And I hope you heard what our team at Oasis said in our recent townhall that we've plenty of games line-up in our pipeline to launch this year. I'm too excited about this! 😍😍🔥
I truly hope whatever game projects Oasis has isnt some P2W crap. A lot of crypto games arent worth playing either because of early backers getting so far ahead of everyone else or having almost 0 gameplay.
That's a great point, I'll surely highlight this thing with my team. Thank you so much Dule for your suggestion. Though what kind of games you like? And what are your top 3 games in crypto ecosystem?
The only one "worth" playing is GODS Unchained. It is a card game simmilar to Hearthstone. If you ingore the crypto part of the game, it is horrible. The UI is unintuitive, the balancing is a nightmare, and the team keeps releasing new carda instead of fixing bugs amd balancing existing cards. DeFI kingdoms is another one that can be viewed positively in the crypto space. Its a RPG with DeFi elements. But if you exclude the crypto elements it just isnt worth playing. What im trying to say is that the prio should be the game, and the crypto elements should be added after you have a strong game base.
