Also this a competitor? https://scion-architecture.net I haven’t seen these projects mentioned before here, so it would nice to hear if Jonas knows if they could work with syntropy or why syntropy has a better outcome 🤷♂️
You can literally forward 100 more like that, they are not decentralized and web3 , doubt they are even an internet overlay
Sure. But big companies might go with Facebooks solution and I would like to hear Jonas or Bill speak about that from their technical perspective.
You should at least forward an article from recently, I don't think the platform got much traction , last update 5 years ago
Facebook is always about highly centralized solutions wich are more likely to get hijacked and doubt it's an internet overlay , plug and play in a decentralized fashion
I think it’s apart of/branded under this now, just realized, https://terragraph.com
Also this “Based on our experience implementing it into our data centers, BGP can form a robust routing foundation, but it requires tight codesign with the data center topology, configuration, switch software, and data center–wide operational pipeline.”- Facebook So I think big companies don’t want to adopt, since they want a protocol that matches their own topology, config, etc. while Syntropy is the silver bullet working with anything and everything
I think terragraph was something to get more people connected to the internet as an alternative for cabel routing
That sounds a bit like saying that everyone should have bought a Pixel phone because was from Google but they end up giving up 🤷
