Yeah it's clear to me, its just that crypto people will recognize the value of rsr when they see the on chain data. But since i understand how it works now the token will stay undervalued for a longer time because people dont see all data on chain.

The aim (at least from an investor angle) is to grow the m-cap of RTokens that come along, including "RSX" and possibly a new form of RSV in the future. However the dApp will display both on-chain and off-chain use, when it launches:

wondering about this as well @Smeddy_o and @RSVsinatra. Why wouldn't the in the in-app $100M monthly volume of RSV be verifiable on-chain? in current configuration it seems RSV market cap is decoupled from actual usage.

The volume can not be seen on-chain since all transactions happen off-chain (and volume is the sum of all transactions). That $100mm volume is all done with the ~$30mm current circulating supply of RSV that is verifiable on-chain, though. The Reserve team mints RSV on-chain to back the in-app supply.

I guess this may create some criticism around centralization risk until RSV is fully on chain and permissionless, yes?

It could, indeed. The decentralization maxi could argue that Reserve is able to make RSV undercollateralized (allow a larger circulating supply in the app than is actually backed on-chain). You and I know that Reserve is honest in this regard, but the whole idea to prevent situations like what happened with Celsius is to not rely on a belief/trust in a company to be honest.
