Hi @powellquesne, it seems you're a bch supporter, why do

you think we're cultists? Seems more like a culture to me...

A culture underpopulated in women perhaps ;), but what are you suggesting is our object/person of veneration?

Lol yes, they have a shared root, yet are distinctly different. I was thinking maybe he got confused b/w bch and bsv.

you're fucking up the community right now and nobody's stopping you. i guess that says something about our permissionless nature, yes.

You have just pulled out a bog standard argument to use on the wrong person. The 'BCH community sucks because it is permissionless' argument works against a person who says 'The community sucks and therefore the coin should be avoided.' I never say that. I believe in the coin on its fundamentals so telling me the reason the community sucks is not necessary. I am not against the coin. There being a reason the community sucks does not change the fact that the BCH community sucks and is not really a fun or friendly place (outside of here occasionally but 'here' is not really on the web) to discuss any kind of crypto. What I want is to use BCH but surrounded by entirely different kinds of people. Luckily I believe the coin has future so all I have to do is wait.

I actually like /r/btc you just made a LIFE LONG ENEMY!

A serious suggestion; why don’t you start a BCH community on a platform you like and moderate it to be in line with your values? Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Yes this was exactly my plan but not BCH specific because there simply aren't enough people interested in BCH right now to make up the kind of community I want to see. It was to be series of crypto-independent communities and I went as far as registering and starting them all, but didn't want to link them anywhere until I had posted up some content to start with. And then I never got around to that because this whole thing was an overambitious idea sparked by developments in the community and therefore not really compatible with my current disposable time especially given my other more important (to me and my future) projects. So the new forums are on hold and I will probably not try to fulfill their original purpose too hard and just use them to post my own new upcoming crypto publications and see what develops that way. Baby steps.
