I can't speak for Ben but this is a feature that has been requested numerous times over the past year and is the reason why I also don't use the terminal. As far as format, I would recommend the devs export history from coinbase as an example. It would have to include buy, sell, order size, and cost basis at a minimum.

Thank you for listening! Ideally this would be a csv file listing tx time, pair, price, amount, tx fee and fee currency. It's important for me to be able to account for my trades and keep track of fees paid, and right now that's enough of a burden on terminal to get me to stay using a CEX that I don't really like
