What is the cheapest smartphone that could be used to

store a wallet on?(and wasn’t shit)
Could be a good way for people in developing countries to be open to learning about the benefits of using BCH, if they know they get a free device. They would also then want to show off what they’d received to their peers.
Similar to how Marc Falzon is delivering free cash register devices to merchants.

I wonder just how cheap smartphones can be.

Electron cash mobile runs on android 4.3 and up. 4.3 was released sometime in 2013. Looks like Samsung Galaxy S4 runs 4.3 via update. I can find a Galaxy S4 second hand for $50-$100 USD (granted I am in USA). The phone has a 1.9GHz 4core processor, 2gb ram, and 16-64gb onboard storage. Bitcoin.com wallet requires Android 6.0 and up. 6.0 released in 2015. Galaxy S7 era. Cash Register requires Android 5.0.

I'm pretty sure Marc F just buys cheapo $75 android tablets from amazon and loads Cash Register on them to give to merchants

It would be interesting to create a hardware wallet that's meant to interface with devices such as BCH Cash Register and BCH Payment Module. Something with a nicer form than Trezor/Ledger (closer to Satoship but it needs the ability to never expose privkey by having its own screen), but people would carry on them day to day, and would ideally be cheaper than the cheapest smartphone.
