main dev team behind Avalanche forever? Or is there any plan about decentralizing the dev team?
I don't have insights on how exactly it works so can't really answer that sorry. Quite sure that there is enough skin in the game for Ava Labs to do what's best for Avalanche and to manage financial resources in an appropriate manner
Ok, thank you. I'm trying to understand the finantials of the project. I've read that all the transaction fees on avalanche are burned. Is that true? In this case, what is the incentive of the validators?
👋 That is correct, all fees are burned as you can see in real time here https://burnedavax.com/ Validator nodes receive AVAX rewards. As more subnets continue to launch Validators will be incentized by specific subnet's rewards as the primary network's rewards eventually drop. Currently validators earn up to 11% and each node can validate multiple subnets simultaneously. This twitter thread breaks it down well: https://twitter.com/CryptoSeq/status/1515587934610722822?s=20&t=6EeuKaRKd_mUfkkfbUcR5A I can't speak specifically on financials, but what I will say is the Avalanche Foundation and Ava Labs are both committed to long term growth and development of the network+ecosystem
Will the Avax rewards end at some point in the future? (Since Avalanche has a fixed max supply)
No, staking will never stop. Avalanche is a proof of stake network and each subnet is required to have at least 1 node that validates the primary network. I would assume when the time comes that governance will apply measures to continue incentivisation (other than the subnet’s incentives to validators) if it is neccesary. The max supply of AVAX will never increase and it will take decades to distribute all staking rewards.
This twitter thread goes in depth about AVAX economics with comparisons to others https://twitter.com/CryptoSeq/status/1386267683272921089?s=20&t=le2qshpV7ugMy4zlKfaMSg
Nice, I'll take a look. Thank you again for the answers
